Magic Mountain on Tour.

Is there a better way than to enjoy the warm months with a BBQ for friends? The Magic Mountain team used their annual summer marketing trip to Europe as the perfect opportunity to show how a South African ‘braai’ is done.

Sabina and Mark visited Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg, inviting old and new clients, friends and family to gather around the fire. Zanzi Afrika provided native delicacies in Frankfurt whereas in Munich photographer Georg Thoma opened the roof of his Studio C2 as the perfect braai location. In Hamburg Magic Mountain hosted an entertaining afternoon at 711 Rent thanks to Irma and Andreas Wendler.

Braai master Mark served original Boerewors rolls with Mrs Ball’s Chutney to photographers, art buyer, agents, and editors. Sabina and her daughter, Eugenie, ensured that the glasses were never empty and offered South African wine and Savanna cider throughout the afternoon. Though most agreed that the German summer was a bit gloomy, everyone left in high spirits with gift bags of braai spices.

If you missed the magic tour this year, send us an email to production@magicmountainprod.com and we will make sure to get you at least some spices and a Savanna on us when you come for your next production!

Leica Shoot - Exhilarating madness ...

… is what some people would call what Streets Trial pro rider Danny MacAskill can do with his bike. Magic Mountain had the honor to make the madness possible in Cape Town. Once again we had the pleasure to organize a photo and film shoot for Leica this season with German photographer Maik Scharfscheer.
Creative agency Argonauten G2 came up with an outstanding and adrenaline driven idea to capture moments with the new Leica V-Lux 30 camera.
Danny was flown in from Scotland to perform stunts on his mountain bike. Cycling up and down trees, riding along railings and jumping of roofs and even containers was on the agenda.

No matter what he was tackling the cameras kept rolling and even during a pitstop at Charly’s Bakery Danny didn’t get off his bike.
The whole team eventually held their breath when Danny decided to jump from one side of Cape Town’s well known “Cut-off Highway” to the other side as the bridge is approximately 30 meters high.
After five days of exhilerating shoots Danny and his girlfriend finally got a chance to relax by participating in the Cape Argus.
